Course Title:
Weaving in Interweaves
Date:
On Demand
Time:
On Demand
Course Description:
This training is an intermediate-level EMDR training for EMDR therapists who have completed their Basic Training. This topic confused me for years. Over the course of becoming a facilitator and teaching interweaves, I now understand how and when to use them. I now use interweaves much more liberally for certain cases. I am hoping that my sharing my experience will help you to become fearless in your use. “The term interweave refers to the fact that this strategy calls for the clinician to offer statements that therapeutically weave together the appropriate neuro networks and associations.” (Shapiro, 1995) Goals of Training: Discover ways to conceptualize interweaves, Identify different styles of using them, Listen to case examples, and Understand when to use them.
Learning Objectives:
Describe at least three conceptual frameworks for the use of interweaves
Evaluate clinical indicators that determine when the use of interweaves is appropriate in the therapeutic process.
Identify different types of interweaves and how each can be applied to support client processing during EMDR therapy.
